Marika Erdely is the Founder and CEO of Green Econome, a leading, full-service energy compliance, consulting, and construction firm based in Southern California. With over 15 years of leadership in the energy and sustainability sector—and a broader 30-year career in finance and construction—Marika is a recognized authority in helping commercial real estate owners invest in efficiency solutions that positively affect market valuations, meet sustainability goals, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Prior to launching Green Econome, Marika served as CFO and Vice President at New Millennium Homes, a prominent homebuilder and land developer behind luxury projects such as The Oaks of Calabasas. She also brings decades of experience as a senior accounting and finance professional, providing her with a unique blend of fiscal expertise, construction, and knowledge of building energy data.

Marika holds both a CA Contractors B and C-10 License and is credentialed as a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C), a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Fitwel Ambassador, and working toward her Carbon Auditing Professional (CAP) certification—further demonstrating her ongoing commitment to high-performance buildings.

A sought-after speaker, Marika has delivered expert insights on existing building energy policy, the ROI of energy efficiency, and leveraging incentive programs to fund sustainability projects. She has spoken at the USGBC-LA Green Building Conference, Net Zero Conference, and AEE West, as well as recent panel discussions hosted by ULI, Bisnow, Westside Urban Forum, IREM, BOMA, and various Legal Associations.

Marika is also deeply engaged in the professional community. She is an active member of ULI Los Angeles, CREW LA and OC, CCIM, AIR CRE, AAGLA, and the US Green Building Council (USGBC). She currently serves as Advocacy Lead for the USGBC Regional Leadership Advisory Board for the Los Angeles region and sits on the Greenbuild 2025 Host Committee.

She holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BA in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
