METLIFE STADIUM: EVENT VENUE LEED GOLD CERTIFICATION (v4.1 O+M: EXISTING BUILDINGS)
MetLife Stadium is a large, open-air sports and entertainment venue in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the home of both the New York Giants and New York Jets. The stadium was designed as a technologically advanced venue with seating for approximately 82,500 spectators and 217 luxury suite boxes, supporting a wide range of NFL games, international soccer matches, concerts, private events, and other large-scale public gatherings. As a highly active, multi-team stadium with major shifts in event type, occupancy, scheduling, and operational demands, MetLife Stadium relies on coordinated facility operations, energy and water conservation strategies, waste diversion practices, and guest-facing sustainability programs to support efficient building performance and a positive visitor experience at stadium scale.
