THE HOXTON HOTEL: DESIGN INCENTIVE MANAGEMENT

A new downtown LA hotel, The Hoxton, needed an energy consultant to lead the application effort for California’s Savings by Design Incentive Program. The program requires a modeled building design that performs at least 10% better than the current Title 24 energy efficiency requirements.

In collaboration with engineering and design teams, Green Econome analyzed the new energy model, ensuring that it reflected the required efficiency levels laid out by SBD. Green Econome filed for kitchen appliance rebates from the SoCal Gas Company to help defray the costs of higher-efficiency appliances. This offset appliance costs by approximately $8,000.
