MANUFACTURING: ENERGY EFFICIENCY AUDIT & RETROFIT

A global aerospace manufacturer sought a service provider that could assess current operations and equipment to make recommendations for increased efficiency. The high peak demands at the facility were a pressing issue, reaching over $16,000 per month across three plants, which accounted for approximately 20% of the billed costs.

Green Econome identified lighting, HVAC, and thermostat systems that could be upgraded for financial and energy savings. The retrofit included new ballast bypass LEDs throughout the interior of all three plants, occupancy sensors to minimize burn hours in unoccupied space, and wireless, programmable thermostats that would allow for remote monitoring and control. Additionally, Four HVAC units serving Plant 1 were replaced with smaller, more efficient units, saving the plant 18 tons of cooling annually.
